Winner of the 1961 Pulitzer Prize for fiction, Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” is unquestionably an American classic. This performance will feature pivotal courtroom scenes where a black man named Tom Robinson has been falsely charged with raping a white woman. Atticus Finch is defending Robinson and Finch’s young children, Scout and Jem, along with their friend Dill, secretly watch the drama unfold. This intense dramatization exposes the prejudice and racial injustice during the Great Depression in a story that takes place in a fictional Alabama town.
