VALET ATTENDANT
As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.
The valet attendant position is under the direct supervision of the concessions supervisor with the front of house department. Valet attendant employees will work to ensure excellent guest service per the standards set forth by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. This is a part-time position and requires many evening and weekend duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Valet Parking
- Provide a safe valet parking service for Center guests and vehicles.
- Work with the Appleton Police Department as needed to maintain an environment conducive to success valet parking.
- Quickly and efficiently record proper vehicle information.
- Obey all City of Appleton traffic laws while providing service.
- Reconciling daily entries to deposit slips, credit card transactions and electronic transactions
Customer Service
- Maintain a high level of customer service that is consistent with the Center's ideals.
- Provide accessibility assistance to patrons with special needs.
- The ability to work with difficult or disappointed patrons.
- Keep radio communication with building staff.
Cash Handling
- Ability to make change and balance cash and receipts.
- Complete money handling forms as required by the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Strong oral and communication skills
2. Demonstrate abilities to be efficient and courteous while interacting with a large number of guests
3. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
4. Ability to work individually and as part of a team
5. Skills in basic math and giving accurate exchange of coins and currency
6. Ability to follow written and oral instruction
7. Knowledge of general parking practices and procedures
8. Strong organizational skills
9. Ability to run to retrieve cars and stand for long periods of time
SALARY:
This is a part time position. Wages are paid ever two weeks based on a per hour rate.
