The development intern is under the general supervision of the Center’s development assistant. Position is an uncompensated, part-time position that can be designed to qualify for college credit.
As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Update and maintain donor information
Assist with special donor events and mailings
Research potential business partners
Prepare individual and business solicitation materials
Research best practices in development from around the country
Perform other development projects as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Current college student with junior or senior standing pursuing a degree in arts administration, communications or industry–related major with emphasis in non profit management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of PC software programs including Microsoft Office
Experience with Raisers Edge or other central database program a plus
Team player with strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to effectively and courteously interact with a large and diverse customer base
