As an employee of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, you will provide the best in customer service while working as an ambassador for the live performing arts. In addition, you will be cultivating an active interest in the Center as the premier venue for performance art, education programming and as a gathering place for the community.
Under the general supervision of the manager of physical plant, perform a wide variety of custodial and building maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, safe and efficiently run facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs basic cleaning tasks including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash collection and removal.
Performs basic building maintenance and repair functions including but not limited to: painting, lamp replacement, basic carpentry, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
Operates basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums, backpack vacuums, mops, carpet cleaning equipment and automatic floor scrubbing equipment.
Utilizes the proper chemicals and methods to clean up various spills, graffiti and stains.
Cleans and sanitizes water fountains, floors, walls, windows, doors, blinds, bathroom fixtures, etc.
Stocks required supplies such as paper products, soap dispensers, etc.
Uses appropriate cleaning chemical(s) per manufacturer’s specifications.
Cleans all dressing room areas during productions to maintain a safe clean environment for the performers.
Performs all duties in accordance with established safety procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a positive attitude.
Must have demonstrated experience working as a collaborative team member.
Ability to read labels and follow directions.
Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy objects weighing up to 75lbs.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and some holidays.
High school diploma.
SALARY
This is a part-time position, wage commensurate with experience.
